Wednesday 22 June

I'm still here - just trying to catch my breath after a few busy and turbulent weeks. I kept going on adrenaline I think and now it seems that things may calm down a little, the tiredness has hit me. I'm keeping going, but sleep a lot and wouldn't mind a week off. I'd rather save my holidays for when the kids break up though, so we can spend some time together.

Will write a longer post hopefully this weekend. In the meantime one thing I wanted to show and one thing I wanted to tell you about.
First a recently completed small project

I'm pretty certain their mum doesn't read this blog - and if she does, she is probably too busy right now to spend much time behind the computer! They're in the post on the way to the recipients anyway.
Other finished projects to follow soon!

And the one thing to tell you about is the 8th Ladies Tractor Road Run, which I'm taking part in next weekend. You can find more information here and my sponsorship page is here - please go and take a look. And if you're wondering at the comments from people who have donated: yes, I have crocheted a pink bikini and yes, I intend to wear it... ;-)

Last but not least I wanted to say thanks for all the messages of support. I may not have responded much or at all, and I haven't got around to reading many blogs lately, let alone leave comments, but I have read all the comments on here and I feel very grateful for all the support and well wishes. Thank you :-)
And with that, I'm off to bed!

Monday 6 June

I have been meaning to post an update for a while, but haven't felt like it. The last few posts on this blog have all been so doom and gloom, and the news wasn't really much more cheerful, and I just didn't feel like writing another bad news report.
Right now, I'm back in Holland again. Mum is having another operation tomorrow, this time to remove all the lymph nodes from her arm pit as the three lymph nodes they took from her arm pit last time, weren't all free of malignant cells. It's not a huge setback, it was something they had told us was a possibility, but still, you'd rather hear 'everything was fine, let's move on to the next stage now'. It just makes the future a bit unclearer again, with more waiting before they'll know what the treatment plan will be.
Tomorrow we'll have to be at the hospital at 7.30 am. Considering it's just off the busiest motorway in Holland with notorious traffic jams, we'll probably leave very early. It's going to be a long day. At least I have plenty of knitting and crocheting to hand. I'm almost finished with a secret project and then I'll be on to crocheting a silly bikini for my annual ladies tractor road run next month. B. seems to think I'll be wearing a bikini and nothing else... not sure I'll be that brave ;-)
